Taiwan boasts an abundance of localized content. Through this event, we aim to transform these elements into intellectual properties (IP) and introduce Taiwan's IP to the world in the form of VTubers.

All submissions must be created using digital drawing tools.

Submit 〈Design Concept Description〉 explaining the creative idea in 100 words or less and 〈Image File Specifications〉 at 300dpi, RGB color.

File must be a single A3-sized PDF or PNG with the 〈File Naming Format〉: School_ParticipantName_Title_Scenario_VTuberCategory (e.g., University Preferred/High School Group).

1. Design Concept Description 2. Character Scenario Image as two separate files.
※Incomplete submissions will not be accepted and will be considered a forfeiture. Additionally, submissions must not include watermarks or sample marks.
※Works containing gore, obscenity, 18+ content, plagiarism, off-theme elements, or those with legal and copyright concerns are prohibited.
※In case of disputes regarding AI-generated works, participants must provide records of the creation process.

[ Scoring Criteria ]
I. Creativity and Originality (30%)

The entry demonstrates unique concepts and design ideas.

It has new elements to attract the attention of the audience.
2.Thematic Characterization (30%)

The spokesperson reflects the theme effectively.

The spokesperson can make people feel the unique charm of his/her character.
3.Visual Aesthetics (20%)

The aesthetics and visual effect of the overall design.

Consistency of color scheme, composition and style.
4.Technical Realization (20%)

Appropriateness and innovation of the techniques and tools used.

The degree of completion and professionalism of the work.
★ Preliminary Round
The preliminary round will be judged by the Department of Multimedia Design at Chang Jung Christian University. Twenty teams from the university will be selected to enter the final round. Results will be announced on the competition's official website on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, and notifications will be sent via email to the finalists, along with details and guidelines for the final round. Teams receiving the notification are eligible to participate in the final round.
★ Final Round
The final round will feature a panel of judges consisting of academic experts, industry professionals, and representatives from partner organizations. From the 50 competing teams, 12 winners will be selected. Details about the format and schedule of the final round will be announced on the competition's official website. Finalists will also receive individual notifications via email. If the submissions fail to meet the judging criteria, the awards may remain unallocated.
[ Important Notes ]

Each participant is limited to one submission per category. The same work cannot be submitted to multiple categories, but participants may join both the 2D and 3D categories simultaneously.

Submissions must be original works created by the participant. Plagiarism or excerpts from any previously published or unpublished works are prohibited. The same work cannot be entered in other competitions or transferred/licensed to third parties. Participants are solely responsible for any copyright or related disputes. If a winning entry is confirmed as plagiarized after the competition, the organizer reserves the right to revoke the award and request the return of certificates and prizes.

Submissions containing violence, pornography, or similar elements are strictly prohibited and will not be displayed publicly if found in violation.

Participants must keep the original file of their submissions during the period from submission deadline to results announcement.

All participants must sign the copyright transfer agreement and commitment letter (submit a scanned or photographed signed copy). <Attachment 1, Attachment 2, Attachment 4>
※For participants under 20 years old, a Parental Consent Form <Attachment 4> must also be submitted with the legal guardian's signature.Participation is free of charge. Any missing or incorrect documentation or non-compliance with the specifications will result in disqualification.
[ Event Statement ]

Image Specifications: 300dpi, RGB color as specified for each category. Submissions must include two files: the character scenario image and the design concept description. Submit both files before the deadline.

Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. All elements in the work (including the background) must be original. Any work found to involve plagiarism will be disqualified, and awards will be revoked if applicable.

The organizer and operator will have unconditional rights to the original manuscript, publication rights, and copyrights of the submissions, which may be used for future promotional activities, including on websites and services operated by the Taiwan Virtual Influencer Association and its partners. The organizer reserves the right to modify or reproduce the work without additional compensation to the original author.

Tax Information: According to Taiwan’s tax laws, a 10% income tax will be withheld for prizes exceeding NTD 2,000. For prizes exceeding NTD 1,000, recipients must declare the income during their annual tax filing. Non-residents (those who stay in Taiwan for less than 183 days) will be subject to a 20% withholding tax on all prizes. Winners must submit a copy of their ID for tax declaration purposes. All prize eligibility is subject to verification by the organizer.

By participating, entrants agree to all rules and regulations of this event. The organizer reserves the right to modify the event details in case of unresolved issues or unforeseen circumstances, with announcements made on the official website and Facebook page. No individual notifications will be sent.
